Thanks for visiting the new mikemartinelli.com. Here you will find a TON of ascMcLaren and Mustang SVO pictures, videos and information. In addition to asc McLaren and SVO stuff you'll find pictures of my Dads mint 1987 Ford Mustang Lx 5.0. He's got a ton of stuff done to his car too! We both love to drag race at ATCO raceway where his car goes deep in the 11's at well over 120 mph and I'm going to be going for 10's!
My new site is updated with a ton of new pics, HD vids and tech write-ups/reviews. I'm excited to be able to share HD vids moving forward - it's about time right? Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your visit!
VIDEO UPDATE - 5-11-2012 - New best in the Capri. 11.2@123! Still can't get the launch down and my shifting still stinks but 10's are right around the corner. I ran an 11.3 as well with a much better 60ft. time but I screwed up the 2-3 shift! A bit old I know but finally getting around to getting the vids online.
Same run from inside with the GoPro!
VIDEO UPDATE - 10-23-2012 - Dad at the track. We went to a track rental and Dad ripped off another 10 second ET. Man his car flys. In the process we damaged the upper control arm bushings. Time to step up to some Steeda HD uppers!
Same run from the GoPro!
VIDEO UPDATE - 3-11-12 - Me and Dad our for a cruise!!!

After a disappointing black Friday outing at ATCO with me driving his car, Dad had to go back the next week to do it himself! He backed up the 10.9@126 with a 10.9@127! Man his car rips! Nice work DAD!

My love for cars and racing started when I was young - when I finally got on the web in college I knew I wanted to someday design my own "ascMcLaren brochure" and have my own website. With a copy of some design software from a friend in 1995 I've been designing ever since. My first attempt at a website was something I did using Netscape's web design software. It was crappy but hey it was a start! I was using a friends Drexel University account for space and the url was real long and impossible to remember; but it was free and I was finally on the web. That long goofy url actually still re-directs to mikemartinelli.com to this day!
Well instead of tweaking V2 as mentioned before I've been working on this new version for several months now. I wanted something even cleaner than before. It's still features dynamic galleries, HD vids, a revamped database and also a new larger rotating slider front and center.
Main content will be a little higher up so it should be very mobile friendly. I've also setup customized gallery templates for each section of the site. Videos are all much higher resolution and should load even faster than before. Of course new content has been added as well.
Most recently added is a gallery and information on my newly acquired 1986 Ford Mustang SVO. The Mustang SVO features a 2.3L Turbocharged 4 cylinder engine with 200hp. Also standard for SVO's was 4 wheel disk brakes and 5 lugs.
The custom automotive T-Shirts I make continue to be a big hit - Thank You! Please check them out and order one for yourself today!
Tech has been going great - Thanks for all your comments. We've got 7 up so far and I hope to add more.
I'm always open for comments, suggestions and ideas for new content so CONTACT me today or leave a comment below with your thoughts. Visit back soon!
This is a spin-off of the beta site below - or officially V2. Just a lot cleaner. Features include a flash intro, a dynamic image and video gallery along with random rotating images up top. I'm very happy with it. It's already gone through its share of tweaks and additions such as a revamped database, a news section, a tech section and a fancy home page image slideshow. I've also moved everything over to my own server. Things are MUCH faster and easier to update now I love it! Stay tuned however, there is also more to come for V2.
This was the beta site that actually never made it live. It featured a similar but reversed design and the image gallery was completely dynamic and super easy to update. The header of the page also rotated through pics of my car. However, I tweaked it and tweaked it but just never got it off the ground. I was learning so many new things at the time and just couldn't settle on what I liked. It was however a good building block for V2.0 and who knows maybe V3.0 will be a spinoff of the beta site
Once I started to learn HTML and the basics I started to put together a real site. It took a while but I finally got it looking good and was able to go live. At the time, "frames" were "in" so the original site was a frames page. It felt good to be up with a "real site". Everyone loved the site and the car, things were great! As the car progressed, I also started to think of new ideas for the site, but updating everything was a pain so I quickly started to work on a new design and a new dynamic image gallery to make things easier on myself. But, between my new full time job and playing with the car I wasn't getting very far. V1.0 lasted a long time and served me well but was badly in need of a makeover...hence the beta site...
